Winners of the inaugural Global ESG Awards announced

The Global ESG Awards were established to recognise the ingenuity of PropTech, CleanTech, ConTech and other passionate innovators who have developed ESG solutions for the construction and real estate industry. The inaugural awards attracted hundreds of international entries, across six categories of ESG solutions.

MCs for the event, Wouter Truffino and Sarah Maria Schlesinger did a great job celebrating this huge and critical initiative for the industry, and for the planet. Well done to all the members of EUBIN – European Building Innovation Network (including Proptech Ireland!) on the successful, enjoyable and highly inspiring Global #ESG Awards 2024 at #MIPIM2024, sponsored by PAUL.

*WINNERS ANNOUNCED*

The first award on the day was the…

The Compliancy Award, for the best solutions that help organisations comply with ESG reporting and regulations. Companies shortlisted included BuildingMinds from Germany; Findable from Norway; One Click LCA from Finland; and Rhino from The Netherlands – and the big winners on the day were the team from Deepki in France.

The next award category was the EcoBalance Award, for the best solution for climate change and pollution. Shortlisted companies included dnergy® from Belgium;  Green City Solutions GmbH from Germany; Spectral from The Netherlands; and wtec from Germany – and the winner was aedifion from Germany.

Next up, 

…the Aqua Biodiversity Award for the best solution for water and marine resources and biodiversity and ecosystems. Shortlisted companies included Evodrop AG from Switzerland; HydroIQ from Kenya; Shayp from Belgium; and WaterStep from United States – winners announced were Droople from Switzerland



Next came the 

…Resource Excellence Award, for the best solution for resource use and circular economy. Shortlisted companies included NORNORM from Denmark; Solsign with an Ireland-based founding team; TileGreen from Egypt; and Vizcab from France – and the winner on the day was Concular from Germany.

And the final company/solution award announced was for …

…the CommuniCare Impact Award for the best solution for affected communities, consumers and end users. Shortlisted companies included Aura Labs from Hong Kong; Mapxus Technology Limited Mapxus from Singapore; MClimate from Bulgaria; and PoiLabs from the United Kingdom – and the winners of this category were Chainels from The Netherlands.

Finally, the highly anticipated – and most hotly contested – award of the whole event, was the ESG Leadership Award for the best corporate ESG personality and the finalists included Caroline Tivéus of Pandox, based in Sweden; Jens Boehnlein of Commerz Real AG, based in Germany; Ludovic CHAMBE of CBRE France; and Sunita Van Heers of SuReal, based in Belgium – and the 2024 Global ESG Leadership Award winner is Aleksandra Njagulj of DWS Group, based in the UK.

Huge congratulations to all of the award entrants, the finalists shortlisted in each category, and to the individual and team winners – the calibre of entries was phenomenal.
