Motel One is coming to Dublin
Motel One, one of the most successful budget design hotel chains in Europe, has announced the opening of its latest location in Dublin. The new hotel is set to open its doors in July 2023 and will feature the brand’s signature style of high-quality design and friendly service at attractive prices.
Located close to the north bank of the Liffey, Motel One Dublin is the perfect starting point for exploring the city and its sights. A short stroll across the nearby historic Ha’penny Bridge takes guests directly to Temple Bar, Dublin’s cultural quarter, while Trinity College is just a little further afield. For those looking to explore even further, the Jervis Luas tram stop is conveniently located right outside the hotel.
As with all Motel One locations, the design of the Dublin hotel is one of its standout features. The atrium of the Motel One Dublin welcomes guests with an abstract wall of plants in dark green hues, a nod to Georgian architecture, and a reference to Irish hospitality with the phrase ‘Céad mile fáilte’ (welcome a thousand times).
The hotel’s One Lounge is designed to resemble an old fireside room with a modern ambience, featuring carefully selected design elements that allow guests to follow in the footsteps of Leopold Bloom, the protagonist of James Joyce’s novel Ulysses. Illustrator John Rooney’s work brings the book to life, while the bar features heavy wooden furniture reminiscent of the pub Leopold visits on his walk, and suspended metal shelves that reference Ha’penny Bridge.
The lounge is open 24 hours a day and offers guests a place to work, relax and socialise.
