KPMG Property Industry Excellence Awards 2026 Open for Entries
Awards programme enters its 11th year with new subcontractor category and continued focus on independent judging across Ireland’s built environment sector.

Entries have officially opened for the KPMG Irish Independent Property Industry Excellence Awards 2026, marking the 11th year of the awards programme recognising achievement across Ireland’s property, planning, construction and real estate sectors.
The awards, which are open to organisations and professionals across the full property lifecycle, aim to recognise excellence in leadership, innovation, project delivery and industry impact. Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on 5 November at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin, where more than 1,000 industry professionals are expected to attend.
Launching the 2026 programme, Carmel Logan, Partner and Head of Real Estate at KPMG Ireland, said the awards reflect the industry’s continued resilience and ambition across commercial development, industrial property, critical infrastructure and housing delivery. She said the awards recognise not only commercial success but also the leadership, innovation and purpose required to deliver lasting impact, particularly at a time when increasing housing supply remains a national priority.
A defining feature of the awards programme is its emphasis on independent assessment. Organisers describe the awards as the only property awards endorsed by relevant industry bodies, with commercial sponsorship of individual award categories prohibited. This approach is intended to protect the integrity of the judging process by ensuring winners are selected solely on merit.
Entries will be assessed by an independent judging panel representing planning, architecture, construction, engineering, finance, technology, property advisory, academia and the public sector. Several judges have served since the awards were established, with four new industry representatives joining the panel this year: Tomás Kelly, President of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland; David Howard, Director of Property Industry Ireland; Meabh Smith, Communications Director at the Construction Industry Federation; and Kay Maguire, President of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers.
The 2026 awards programme comprises ten categories reflecting the breadth of Ireland’s property sector. These include Construction Project, Developer, Architecture, Placemaking & Planning, PropTech, Real Estate Investment & Asset Management, Housing and Rising Star awards, alongside Agency of the Year, which is divided into categories for firms with up to ten employees and those with larger teams.
A new Subcontractor Award has been introduced for 2026 to recognise the contribution of specialist subcontractors and SMEs involved in delivering property projects across all sectors of the built environment.
The Housing Award will continue to recognise projects delivering new homes across public, private, cooperative and social housing, reflecting the continued focus on increasing housing supply and improving delivery across Ireland.
