Virgin Media Television has opened casting for a new series of Help Me Buy a Home, inviting would-be buyers from across Ireland to apply as the popular property programme prepares to return to screens.
The show is seeking participants at all stages of the home-buying journey, from those freshly mortgage-approved to people overwhelmed by paperwork or stuck endlessly scrolling property websites wondering where to start.
Buyer’s agent Liz O’Kane will return to guide participants through the process, offering practical, plain-English advice on everything from choosing locations and weighing up new builds versus fixer-uppers, to navigating surveys, solicitor fees and the administrative realities of buying a home in Ireland.
Also back are fan favourites PJ and Kevin from I’m Grand Mam, bringing their familiar Cork humour and straight-talking style. The duo act as stand-ins for viewers who feel locked out of the housing market, asking the questions many buyers are thinking but rarely get straight answers to.
The series blends personal home-buying stories with expert guidance, aiming to demystify the Irish property market and explain, step by step, how buyers can move from aspiration to action. Viewers can also expect clear explainers on government supports and housing schemes, alongside an honest look at the challenges facing first-time and repeat buyers.
The new series will air on Virgin Media One and Virgin Media PLAY, with casting now open to applicants nationwide.
